Special Mental Health Month Event
The Art of Connection exhibition celebrates the powerful connections fostered within the HeART & Soul community and beyond. Curated and led by principal artist-in-residence, David Giles, HeART & Soul is an art program that brings together people with lived experience of mental health challenges, providing a safe, welcoming space to create, connect, and express themselves through art.
This exhibition showcases a diverse collection of works by HeART & Soul participants alongside artists from the wider community. By exhibiting together, the exhibition creates opportunities for connection, understanding, and shared creative expression, helping to challenge stigma surrounding mental health while highlighting the value of inclusion and community participation.
Through their artwork, participants share their creativity, resilience, and personal perspectives, offering visitors a glimpse into the transformative role that art can play in enhancing wellbeing. This exhibition celebrates not only artistic achievement, but also the confidence, growth, and community that flourish when people come together in a supportive and inclusive environment.
Take home an art piece and be a part of the artist’s journey.
