The role of the family or Carer is integral to the lives of those with mental health difficulties. Caring for a loved one can be a difficult and lonely journey. With direct flexible services and opportunities for respite (time away from caring responsibilities), you can focus on your own health and wellbeing.
Carer Support Program
We support families to take a break from their caring role with periodic opportunities for respite. Engaging your loved one in a number of enjoyable, stimulating and sometimes challenging activities gives you time to focus on your needs and offers the person you care for their own space.
We also offer some one-on-one support for family members and access to information, training and resources to support families on their own recovery journey. You’ll benefit from advocacy, trained staff, connections to additional services and free or low cost social activities.
