Cultural immersion experience with In Culture Tours
This Cultural Immersion Gathering invites Aboriginal people to come together on Whadjuk Noongar Country for a day of connection, learning, and shared experience at Kaarta-Gar-up (Kings Park).
The day begins with a Welcome to Country and Smoking Ceremony, grounding the gathering in respect for Country, ancestors, and living culture. Participants will then take part in a guided walk on Country, yarning about Noongar history, language, seasonal knowledge, bush tucker, and the cultural stories held within the landscape.
Throughout the day there will be hands-on cultural activities, including damper making, boomerang throwing, and a cultural dance and didgeridoo performance, creating space for learning, sharing, and connection across generations.
Lunch will be shared together at the Wildflower Pavilion, catered by Goolamwiin, followed by a yarning circle and reflection, offering time to reflect, ask questions, and strengthen connections with Country and community before closing the day in a respectful way. Taking place on the last Friday of each month.
