Ngulla Mia provides a safe and secure residence for adults experiencing mental distress, who are homeless or at risk of homelessness. We aim to provide you with a safe space, where you are welcomed and valued. We provide tailored support, aimed at meeting your individual needs and enabling you to pursue your recovery goals.

Noongar for ‘Our Place’, Ngulla Mia offers you a stable place to live, allowing you to focus on your health and recovery. We are your partners in your wellness journey and will help you develop the skills you need to improve your life.

Lodging Fees per fortnight, applicable from August 2017:

  • DSP>21             $550
  • DSP<21             $430
  • NSA                   $370
  • YA                      $300

Additional Fees per fortnight:

  • Single bedroom unit or bedroom with ensuite $20
  • Two bedroom unit $10
How to Apply

Living in supported accommodation is likely to be different from the way that you have lived before. If you are looking at our supported accommodation services, make sure to download and read our Recovery Accommodation Information Handbook.

If you require the Handbook sent to you by Australia Post, please Contact us on 9350 8800 and request a copy.

Step 1) Complete the referral form. This can be completed by anybody – yourself, a family member, a Carer, a case manager, mental health service provider, social services or other health provider you are linked in with.

Step 2) Upon receiving both your Residential Referral Form Richmond Wellbeing will contact you or your referring case manager to advise you if we are able to progress with your referral, or to seek further information. If your referral meets our eligibility criteria, your referral will then be put forward to the suitable program or site manager.

Step 3) Staff at the referred service may arrange an interview with you and speak with other stakeholders to assess your suitability. Where preference is indicated for a particular program, we will try to meet the request.

Step 4) Shortly after, Richmond Wellbeing will contact your referrer to discuss the outcome of your referral.

Richmond Wellbeing takes your privacy very seriously. Any personal information collected will be protected by Richmond Wellbeing policies and procedures. In the referral process, this will include your social, medical and psychological information.
